Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to lead caregiver education, orientation, and ongoing learning aligned with each program. The role guides clinical education, mentors staff, and supports interprofessional learning to advance nursing practice and patient care.

The NPD Practitioner will assess and address learning needs, design curricula, and promote standardized orientation tools while coordinating across care sites and service lines.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program and RN licensure in practice state.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• Experience in adult or staff development with nursing background.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors.
• Coordinate and evaluate caregiver orientation and ongoing learning needs.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practices and interprofessional learning.
• Support smooth transitions for new practice initiatives and clinical education.
