Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to support caregivers' orientation and ongoing learning, guiding self-reliance and development. The role may require travel to various locations to fulfill responsibilities.

The position emphasizes learning facilitation, change agency, mentoring, and leadership in advancing nursing practice, with a focus on evidence-based care and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program; degree verification required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field (preferred).
• NPD-BC certification or related specialty (preferred).
• Three years of relevant nursing experience (preferred).
• Local, regional, or national presentations or publications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as learning facilitator, guidance orientation and ongoing learning using standardized tools.
• Collaborate across organization to identify learning goals and implement evidence-based practices.
• Provide coaching to preceptors and caregivers for professional development.
• Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Promote inquiry and dissemination of new knowledge to enhance patient care.
• Support smooth transitions for new practices and care environment changes.
