Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to guide caregivers in clinical education standards and ongoing learning across programs. The role may require travel to different locations.

The NPD Practitioner will lead orientation, coach preceptors, and promote evidence-based practice while partnering with care teams to advance nursing practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Collaborate to understand goals, priorities, and learning needs for care areas ensuring adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to preceptors and caregivers for personal learning and growth.
• Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing and healthcare.
• Foster creation and sharing of new knowledge to advance NPD practice and patient care.
• Champion the importance of NPD within the organization and promote professional development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth orientation and ongoing education for caregivers.
