Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to support caregivers' education and development. The NPD Practitioner assesses, guides, coordinates, and evaluates caregiver orientation and ongoing learning needs in alignment with their associated program, service line or care group.

The NPD Practitioner may travel between locations to fulfill responsibilities and serves as a mentor, change agent, and leader to promote evidence-based practice and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: serves as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Change Agent: collaborates with colleagues to understand learning needs and ensures adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Mentor: provides coaching and mentoring to preceptors and caregivers for professional growth.
• Leader: facilitates interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing and healthcare.
• Champion for Inquiry: fosters creation and sharing of new knowledge to advance NPD practice.
• Advocate for NPD Specialty: promotes the value of NPD practices within the organization.
• Partner for Practice Transition: collaborates with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing education.
