Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner who designs and guides caregiver education, supports orientation, identifies learning needs, and coordinates ongoing development across programs and sites.

The NPD Practitioner collaborates with care teams, mentors preceptors, promotes evidence-based practice, and leads interprofessional learning to advance nursing practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to understand goals, priorities, and learning needs for care areas, and support adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to preceptors and caregivers to support their learning and job enrichment opportunities.
• Lead interprofessional learning, advancement in nursing practice, and promote self-reliance within the care site and PDPE service line.
• Foster inquiry and use evidence to advance NPD practice and patient care.
