Job summary
Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to guide caregiver orientation and ongoing learning with adult learning principles. This RN-focused role travels to various locations as needed and collaborates across care groups to promote high-quality education and practice.
The successful candidate will mentor staff, lead interprofessional learning, and champion the NPD specialty to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; degree verification required.
- Current Registered Nurse license in state of practice.
- BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- Experience in adult or staff development.
- Demonstrated nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Learning Facilitator to promote self-reliance and teamwork.
- Collaborate to identify learning needs and implement orientation tools.
- Coach and mentor preceptors and caregivers for ongoing education.
- Foster interprofessional learning and evidence-based nursing practices.
- Support transitions for new practices and care initiatives.
