Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to support and guide caregivers in learning and development. You will assess and coordinate orientation and ongoing education across service lines, applying adult learning principles to close knowledge gaps.

The role involves collaboration with interprofessional teams, coaching for nurses and preceptors, and advancing the NPD program within the care site. Travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required. RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
• Experience in adult or staff development strongly preferred.
• Master’s degree and NPD-BC certification are desirable qualifications.
• Three years of relevant nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors.
• Coordinate and evaluate caregiver orientation and ongoing learning needs.
• Lead interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Promote evidence-based practice and effective knowledge sharing.
• Foster smooth transitions for new and existing caregivers with change management.
