Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN night shifts (6:45–7:15) with a minimum of four shifts every six weeks.

Compensation includes $20.50 per PRN shift plus a $2 night differential and a $1 weekend differential. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with bathing, meals, mobility, and documenting intake; transporting patients as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification or completion in first 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, CNA certification preferred (maybe required based on state).

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming).
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients as needed and documenting intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients and assisting in mobility.
• Answering call lights and performing services aiding patient well-being.
• Transporting patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
