Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO is hiring a Nursing Assistant for full-time day shifts. You will support patient care, take vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help with mobility under supervision. A robust orientation program and benefits package accompany this role.

Sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered. BLS certification or completion within 90 days is required; HS diploma preferred and CNA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience or CNA certification preferred (may be required by state).

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients and documenting intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients and assisting mobility.
• Responding to patient call lights and performing services for patient well-being.
• Transporting patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Location:Richmond Heights, MO

Schedule: Full-time Day 6:45-7:15, every 3rd weekend in rotationCompensation: $19-$24.10 based on years of experience +$2 night shift diff. and $1 weekend diff

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
