Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a full-time day shift (6:45-7:15) with every 3rd weekend in rotation. Compensation ranges from $19 to $24.10 per hour, plus $2 night shift diff and $1 weekend diff. Sign-On Bonus: $2,500.

Responsibilities include vital signs, daily care, meals, mobility, and patient transport. Minimum qualification: BLS or completion within 90 days. Preferred: HS diploma or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Delivering meals and fluids and documenting intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients and aiding mobility.
• Answering call lights and providing comfort and care.
• Transporting patients to treatment areas and other locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
