Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN Night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with a minimum of 4 shifts every 6 weeks. You will assist patients with daily care, obtain vital signs, deliver meals, and help move immobile patients safely.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and basic demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, grooming).
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding as needed and document intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients and assist with mobility programs.
• Answer call lights and provide services contributing to patient well‑being.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Compensation: $20.50/PRN Rate (+$2/night shift diff & $1 weekend diff)

• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
• Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.*
