Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care within an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

The role includes vital signs, personal care, mobility assistance, meals, and documentation of intake while supporting a compassionate care team. The position offers full-time day or night shifts, with 12-hour rotations, weekend coverage every third weekend, and competitive compensation with shift differentials and a $3,500 sign-on

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Schedule: Full-time Day or Night 12 hour shifts, 6:45-7:15, every 3rd weekendCompensation: $19-$24.10 based on years of experience + $2 night shift diff & $1 weekend shift diff
