Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Bridgeton, MO seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, delivering meals, monitoring vitals, and supporting mobility and rehabilitation goals.

The position requires BLS certification or completion within 90 days. CNA certifications are preferred depending on state requirements.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, CNA certification preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements).

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Deliver meals and snacks; feed patients unable to feed themselves; document oral intake including supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely; participate in mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patient well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas (treatment centers).

Schedule: PRN Day or Night 12 hour shifts, 6:45-7:15 - minimum 4 shifts in a 6 week periodCompensation: $20.50/PRN Rate + $2 night shift diff. and $1 weekend diff.

• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.

• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.
