Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant on a PRN basis for night shifts. The role includes providing personal care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, delivering meals, and supporting rehabilitation goals.

Applicants should have a BLS certification (or complete within 90 days) and either a high school diploma or Nursing Assistant certification. POETs may be part of onboarding and state requirements vary.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.

• Respond to patient call lights and provide comfort and assistance.
• Transport patients to treatment areas as needed.

Position: Nursing Assistant

Location: Lake St. Louis, MO

Schedule: PRN Night 6:45-7:15, minimum 4 shifts per 6 week period

Compensation: $20.50/PRN Rate + $2 for night shift differential & $1 weekend differential

• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
• Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.*
