Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN night shifts (6:45–7:15) with a minimum of four shifts every six weeks. The role supports patient care through vital signs, daily activities, meals, mobility assistance and answering call lights.

Minimum qualifications include Certified BLS or completion within 90 days; a high school diploma is preferred and hospital experience or CNA certification may be required depending on state rules.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.
• Experience in patient personal care and daily activities preferred.
• Nursing assistant certification preferred depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.
