Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital is a Joint Venture between Select Medical and SSM Health located in Richmond Heights, MO. We are seeking a Nursing Assistant for a full-time Day shift (6:45-7:15) with every 3rd weekend rotation.

Compensation ranges $19–$24.10 per hour, plus night and weekend differentials and a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include patient care, vital signs, daily activities, feeding, and mobility assistance, with a focus on exceptional, compassionate care for brain

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience or CNA certification preferred depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming).
• Deliver meals, assist feeding, and document oral intake including supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients and assist with mobility programs.
• Respond to patient call lights and provide services to support patient well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas for treatments.

• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
• Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.*
