Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO, is hiring a Nursing Assistant for full-time day or night shifts.

You will support patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and help with mobility while documenting patient information and feeding assistance as required. Compensation ranges from $19 to $24.10 per hour based on experience, plus $2 night-shift and $1 weekend shift differentials; a $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience and CNA certification preferred depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks and documenting oral intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients and assisting mobility programs.
• Answering call lights and supporting patient well-being.
• Transporting patients to treatment centers as needed.

Schedule: Full-time Day or Night 12 hour shifts, 6:45-7:15, every 3rd weekend
Compensation: $19-$24.10 based on years of experience + $2 night shift diff & $1 weekend shift diff

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
