Job summary

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II to join our patient care team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and provide direct patient care, monitor patients, and participate in unit activities on a 0.9 FTE, night-shift schedule.

Qualified candidates must hold active NA I and NA II listings with NC boards, current HeartSaver (or higher), and complete de-escalation training within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Active NAI listing with NC DHHS is required.
• Active NAII listing with NC Board of Nursing is required.
• Current HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
• De-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed nurse, provide direct patient care and delegated tasks.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and safety practices.
• Monitor patients and communicate findings to the care team.
• Assist with unit goals and management of supplies and equipment.
• Engage in patient and family education as appropriate.
