Job summary

ECU Health Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II for the 3 North Neurosciences Unit. The CNA II performs direct patient care under a licensed nurse, supports observation roles, and participates in unit goals and safety practices.

Requires active NAI/NAII listings and HeartSaver certification, with de-escalation training completed within 90 days of hire. Location: ECU Health Medical Center, 0.9 FTE, night shifts, weekends required.

Qualifications

• Active NAI listing with NC Department of Health & Human Services is required.
• Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
• De-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of employment if not current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in quality improvement activities and data collection.
• Assists in providing direct patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintains licensure/certification and follows hospital policies.
• Communicates effectively with the care team and documents in the medical record.
• Monitors patients and participates in unit and hospital activities as assigned.
