Qualifications

• Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing required.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification required.
• De-escalation training; if not current at time of hire must complete within 90 days and maintain without lapse during employment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in quality Improvement (QI) Activities: problem solving, data collection, safety and infection control practices, cost savings initiatives.
• Under supervision of licensed nurse, assists in providing direct patient care and completes delegated skills and tasks as defined by NC DHHS and NC Board of Nursing.
• Monitors patients for escalating behaviors and communicates with the care team; documents in medical records and participates in handoffs.
• Performs additional duties as assigned (e.g., EKGs, venipuncture) within training and scope of practice.
