Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group seeks an experienced electrical engineering supervisor for part-time temporary engagement. You will oversee design deliverables, mentor engineers, coordinate scopes, and ensure client satisfaction on complex nuclear projects.

Requires a BSEE from ABET-accredited program with at least 10 years in nuclear plant electrical design, and strong leadership and communication skills. PE license preferred; badge access to nuclear facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE required.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical design for nuclear plants.
• 3 years in leading an engineering design group.
• Experience selecting equipment and drafting design change packages.
• Experience liaising with clients in a support/lead role.
• Knowledge of low/medium voltage distribution and protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision to ensure completion of electrical engineering deliverables within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Define scope and deliverables; track progress and communicate with clients.
• Coordinate and submit progress reports and conduct routine status meetings.
• Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants.
• Oversee design change packages, calculations, equipment specs, and procurement details.
• Interface with clients and validate scope to ensure satisfaction; mentor junior engineers.
• Identify client needs to uncover strategic opportunities and potential follow-on work.
