Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States seeks a senior electrical engineering leader to guide a multi-discipline group on challenging power-plant projects. You will oversee design, calculations, specs, and deliverables, coordinating with other disciplines and clients to ensure quality and schedule.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical systems for power plants, ABET‑accredited BSEE, and leadership experience. PE licensure is preferred; badge for nuclear access may be required.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years’ experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for power plants.
• Three or more years experience in leading an engineering design group through all phases of a project design.
• Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts performed by group members to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations
• Defining deliverables (i.e. calcs, specs, drawings, design change etc.)
• Coordinating completion of project deliverables with other disciplines and clients
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants
• Provide technical oversight and supervision for all electrical engineering activities including design change packages and equipment specifications
• Mentor and guide the development of the group and identify opportunities with clients
