Job summary

Sargent Lundy seeks a senior electrical engineering leader to guide a multi-discipline group on complex nuclear power plant projects in a hybrid Knoxville setting. You will drive scope, deliverables, budgets, and client satisfaction across design phases, with oversight of engineering change packages, calculations, and equipment specs.

The role requires a BSEE from an ABET-accredited program, 10 years in nuclear plant design, and 3 years leading a design group. PE licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited program
• 10 years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for nuclear power plants
• 3 years of experience in leading an engineering design group through all phases of a project design
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and ability to badge for nuclear access

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering deliverables within scope, budget, and quality expectations
• Define deliverables (calcs, specs, drawings, design changes) and track progress
• Coordinate multi-discipline interfaces and client communications to maintain scope and satisfaction
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants
• Provide technical oversight on design change packages, calculations, and equipment specifications
• Mentor and guide development of the group and identify opportunities with clients
