Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a Senior Electrical Team Lead to design, modify, and analyze electrical systems for nuclear processing and power plants. Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers in detailed design phases and ensure performance within schedule and budget.

The role requires a BSEE (ABET) with 12+ years of experience, ability to obtain a US government clearance, and PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain US Government security clearance.
• ABET-accredited BSEE degree required; MSEE preferred.
• Eligible for PE licensure and DOE Q-level clearance.
• 12+ years in electrical engineering design for power/ DOE/nuclear environments.
• 3+ years leading engineering design teams; strong vendor and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Electrical team lead for detailed design phases across all electrical work.
• Lead projects to complete on time and within budget.
• Coordinate design activities to meet codes, specs and client requirements.
• Prepare and review calculations: arc flash, voltage drop, fault current, lighting.
• Prepare drawings input, master diagrams and master schematics.
• Interface with vendors for purchase specifications.
• Prepare reports and studies for client requirements and SL formats.
• Mentor less experienced engineers; participate in Communities of Practice.
