Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a NOC Technician for our Network Operations Center in the United States. You will handle incoming customer contacts, document and resolve incidents, and participate in 7x24x365 operations to minimize service impact.

You will troubleshoot IP networks, LTE signaling (Diameter/S8/S6a), IPX, and BGP, using tools like Remedy, Salesforce, SolarWinds, and Splunk. A Bachelor’s in a technical field is required, with strong English communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Network Operations Center or similar Operational Support environment in a technical support or engineering role.
• Working knowledge of LTE technologies including Diameter, S8, S6a.
• Working knowledge of SIP message flows and platform interworking.
• Working knowledge of IP networking technologies and troubleshooting.
• Cisco IOS and JunOS experience.
• Experience troubleshooting IPX networks.
• Experience troubleshooting BGP peering issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network surveillance systems, respond to alarms, and manage a phone queue for support calls.
• Manage and resolve assigned incident tickets.
• Provide direct support to internal and external customers to mitigate service impact from network events.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, fault isolation, root cause analysis, and incident management for SS7, SIP, Diameter, IPX, and IP networks.
• Troubleshoot BGP peering and IP connectivity alarms.
• Troubleshoot Ethernet, DS0-DS3, and optical circuits using switches, routers, STPs, DACS, DNX, DSRs and other muxing equipment.
• Interface with customers, carriers, and vendors; perform routine maintenance on network elements.
• Work a rotating shift to support 7x24x365 operations; nights/weekends/holidays as required.
• Demonstrate good communication and teamwork.
