Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a NOC Technician for our Network Operations Center. You will monitor, escalate, and resolve network incidents, providing direct support to customers and vendors 7x24x365.

Responsibilities include monitoring surveillance systems, managing incident tickets, troubleshooting IP/X networks, and interfacing with carriers and equipment vendors. A Bachelor's in a technical field or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Network Operations Center or similar Operational Support environment in a technical support or engineering role.
• Working knowledge of LTE technologies including Diameter, S8, S6a.
• Working knowledge of SIP message calls flows and platform interworking.
• Working knowledge of IP networking technologies and troubleshooting.
• Cisco IOS and JunOS experience.
• Experience troubleshooting IPX networks.
• Experience troubleshooting BGP peering issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network surveillance systems, respond to alarms and error conditions and manage a phone queue for direct support.
• Manage and resolve assigned incident tickets.
• Provide direct support to internal and external customers to mitigate service impact.
• Perform complex troubleshooting, fault isolation, root cause analysis, and incident management for various platforms.
• Interfacing with customers, carriers, and vendors; perform routine maintenance on network elements.
• Support 7x24x365 Operations with rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
