Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is seeking a NOC Technician in New Jersey to monitor network systems, respond to alarms, and coordinate incident management. You will handle a busy queue, perform complex troubleshooting across SS7, SIP, Diameter, IPX, and IP networks, and interact with carriers and vendors to minimize service impact.

The role requires experience in an NOC or OSS environment, knowledge of IP networking, and comfort with rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Experience in a Network Operations Center or similar Operational Support environment in a technical support or engineering role.
Working knowledge of LTE technologies including Diameter, S8, S6a.
Experience with IP networking technologies and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Monitor network surveillance systems, respond to alarms and errors, and manage a phone queue with direct support calls.
Manage and resolve incident tickets.
Provide direct support to internal and external customers to mitigate service impact from network events.
Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, root cause analysis, and incident management for SS7, SIP, Diameter, IPX, and IP networks.
