Job summary

Transaction Network Services is seeking a Field Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote support for global IP networks, including TCP/IP, VPN, and MPLS. You will configure Cisco, Arista and Juniper devices, coordinate with TAC for complex issues, and triage incidents using defined runbooks.

The role requires strong communication, ITIL process familiarity, and ability to work in a 24x7 team. Expectation includes after-hours on-call, collaboration with a global NOC, and ensuring incidents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of network operations and troubleshooting experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco, Arista, and Juniper routers and switches.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, and routing protocols.
• Experience with vendor escalation and ITIL-based change management.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical or non-technical support for global IP networks (TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS).
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista, and Juniper devices.
• Liaise with Cisco/Juniper TAC and other vendors for issue resolution.
• Perform second-level network and protocol debugging and triage using runbooks.
• Coordinate network maintenance and change management activities.
• Provide after-hours on-call escalation on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure readiness for project handover and incident restoration with minimal impact.
• Engage NOC engineers to resolve incidents to permanent resolution.
