Job summary

WSP is seeking a Traffic Management Center Technician I in Memphis, TN to monitor ITS devices, respond to incidents, and coordinate with TDOT and operations teams. This role includes night and weekend shifts and offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.

You will enter incident and event data, assist in data collection for system performance, and help troubleshoot TDOT assets while following SOPs and maintaining safety standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• 0–2 years of experience with a TMC type facility or traffic management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Computer software proficiency, including MS Office, spreadsheets and databases.
• Analytical and organizational capabilities are essential.
• Ability to work well with TDOT staff.
• Must pass a Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide human monitoring and operation of ITS devices and traffic control devices, acting on guidance from SOPs.
• Perform Traffic Incident Management.
• Coordinate responses for roadway concerns and incidents.
• Enter data for incidents, events, roadway concerns, and call logs.
• Assist in data collection for system performance and troubleshooting of ATMS/ITS and related systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document device failures; establish repair priorities; issue work orders.
