Job summary

WSP is seeking a Traffic Management Center Technician I to join our Mobility Operations Team in Memphis, TN. This role covers night and weekend shifts and offers both full-time and part-time positions.

You will monitor ITS devices, manage traffic incidents, coordinate roadway responses, and log activities. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and 0–2 years of related experience, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 0-2 years of experience with a TMC type facility and/or traffic management.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Proficient with MS Office, spreadsheets and databases.
• Ability to pass Criminal History Background Check.
• Ability to use digital roadway maps and understand roadway elements.
• Night and weekend shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ITS devices and respond per SOPs.
• Traffic Incident Management.
• Coordinate responses for roadway concerns.
• Enter incidents and calls into the database.
• Assist in traffic data collection and system performance troubleshooting.
• Assist TDOT with device troubleshooting and repairs.
• Receive notices of roadwork and incidents and coordinate responses.
• Answer inquiries and provide roadway condition information.
• Prepare reports and data for evaluation.
