Job summary

WSP in Nashville, TN is seeking a Traffic Management Center Technician I to monitor ITS devices, respond to incidents, and support TDOT with roadway operations. Night and weekend shifts are part of the schedule; both full-time and part-time positions are available.

You will enter incident data, assist with data collection, coordinate responses to roadway concerns, and follow SOP guidance while upholding WSP safety policies and collaboration with operational partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 0–2 years of experience with a TMC-type facility or traffic management.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic data handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide human monitoring and operation of ITS devices and take actions per SOPs.
• Traffic Incident Management and coordination of roadway responses.
• Enter incident, event, and call logs into the database.
• Assist in data collection for system performance and troubleshooting.
• Support TDOT in identifying device failures and prioritize repairs.
• Receive notices of roadwork/incidents and coordinate with partners.
• Respond to inquiries about TMC/ITS operations and provide data for evaluation.
