Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking a Supervisor, Patient Access Services for a split assignment across Mount Sinai Brooklyn, Mount Sinai Queens, and Mount Sinai South Nassau. This full-time night role oversees registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance while upholding HIPAA, service standards, and patient experience.

The position requires 1–2 years in Patient Access or hospital registration, EPIC experience, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Patient Access or hospital registration.
• Experience in a unionized healthcare environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escort operational issues to Manager and assist with staffing coverage.
• Supervise frontline Patient Access representatives, including scheduling and performance feedback.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff and reinforce customer service standards (e.g., AIDET).
• Maintain effective relationships with Human Resources and Labor Relations.
