Job summary

Mount Sinai Queens seeks a Supervisor for Patient Access Services (Full-Time, Evenings) to oversee daily registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance across hospital service areas. You will guide frontline staff, ensure accuracy, and promote a positive patient experience.

The role requires 1–2 years in patient access or hospital registration, plus leadership experience. EPIC experience is preferred, and familiarity with unionized environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle operations within a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues, system concerns, or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
• Support compliance with HIPAA privacy and security standards.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
