Job summary

Wellstar Health System invites new graduate RN candidates to join the 12-month Nurse Residency Program, designed to support transition to professional practice. The RN Resident will work in a night shift role within a supportive interprofessional team, under supervision of unit leaders and educators.

The program emphasizes clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice, with dedicated orientation phases and ongoing education to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to plan and implement care.
• Participate in Nurse Residency program activities and onboarding.
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
• Document patient care and outcomes in the medical record.
