Qualifications

• RN residents must successfully complete the 12-month Nurse Residency Program.
• RN Residents are licensed and practice under the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Must participate in unit-based supervision and education activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following the Nursing Process and standards of care.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Engage in professional development and act as a preceptor when appropriate.
• Participate in evidence-based practice and quality improvement activities.

Education

Diploma in Nursing

Graduate of approved School of Nursing
