Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Nurse Resident for a 12-month residency program designed to transition new graduates into professional practice. The RN Resident will be oriented across system and unit-based onboarding with ongoing NRP sessions and support from educators and preceptors.

The role emphasizes exemplary nursing care, critical thinking, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing professional development as part of Wellstar's commitment to patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma in nursing and RN licensure are required or expected.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active license.
• BSN preferred for advancement and education.

Responsibilities

• Exemplary practice and outcomes through nursing process and evidence-based care.
• Coordinate delivery of safe, high-quality patient care with interprofessional team.
• Participate in performance improvement and shared governance activities.
• Support preceptors, mentors, and staff to ensure quality practice.
• Apply patient- and family-centered care across the continuum.
