Job summary

Wellstar Health System is offering a 12-month RN Residency program for new graduates with less than 6 months of RN experience. The RN Resident will complete the Nurse Residency Program (NRP) under supervision of unit leaders, educators, and preceptors to transition into professional practice.

The role is a night shift position with a structured orientation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing professional development within Wellstar standards of care.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• RequiredBachelor's Degree BSN Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) with evidence-based practice.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care adapted to age, culture and population characteristics.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration to deliver safe, high-quality care and support performance improvement.
• Serve as a preceptor/mentor to other nurses to develop a qualified workforce.
