Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a new graduate RN for its 12-month Nurse Residency Program. The RN Resident will work night shifts and provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care under supervision to support patients and families.

The program emphasizes professional development, interprofessional collaboration, and adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and Wellstar standards. Completion of the residency will prepare the nurse for ongoing professional practice within Wellstar.

Qualifications

• New graduate RN with less than 6 months of experience as a professional RN.
• Completion of the 12-month Nurse Residency Program (NRP) designed to support transition to professional practice.
• Licensed in Georgia as a Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure under Georgia rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients under supervision and collaborate with interprofessional team.
• Participate in the Nurse Residency program sessions and clinical rotations for ongoing competency.
• Engage in patient/family education and discharge planning in alignment with Wellstar standards.
