Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an RN Resident for a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduate RNs with less than 6 months of experience. The program provides orientation and collaboration with unit leaders, educators, NRP RN educators, site coordinators, and preceptors to strengthen nursing practice and clinical skills during transition.

The RN Resident will work on the unit during night shifts, receiving supervision and guidance from the Unit Manager and RN educators

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Performs the Nursing Process with evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and individualized care.
• Coordinate care through effective partnerships and ensure patient and family-centered care.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration while practicing fiscally responsible care and supporting staff retention.
• Engage in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice to enhance patient outcomes.
• Plan and coordinate care across the care continuum with care managers and other team members.
• Support efficient use of human and material resources.

Education
