Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Post Intensive Care Unit-II at New Brunswick is seeking a night-shift RN to deliver high-quality patient care. You will perform assessments, administer medications, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians to coordinate care across the continuum.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, BLS, and preferably a BSN with 1–2 years of acute care experience. This part-time night position offers growth opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or to be completed within 5 years.
• ACLS certification preferred or within 6 months of employment.
• Prior 1–2 years of RN experience in acute care preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR for continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds for smooth transitions of care.
• Support a collaborative team culture with shared accountability.
• Pursue continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
