RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Post Intensive Care Unit III at the New Brunswick campus. The unit supports 19 beds with monitoring capabilities for step-down ICU care, handling diverse medical cases including ventilator patients and ALS.

The role requires ASN or Nursing Diploma, NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 1 year of RN experience preferred. Night shifts, 7p-7:30a, 36 hours/week with weekend/holiday rotation, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain safety and apply evidence-based practice; communicate with and utilize resources and team members.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members; collaborate with other care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Act as an interdisciplinary team manager and tailor the plan of care to address patient needs.
