Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Intensive Care Unit III at the New Brunswick campus. The unit features 19 beds with bedside monitors and capabilities for step-down care, handling patients with diverse conditions including ventilated cases.

The role requires an ASN or Nursing Diploma, licensed in New Jersey, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Night shift, 36 hours per week, with some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• BSN preferred or completed within 5 years upon hire.
• Telemetry and intermediate care experience preferred.
• Ventilator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act and ethical standards.
• Ensure safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Report safety issues and hazardous environments.
• Know the patient population served and coordinate with care team.
• Supervise delegation and collaborate with other care providers.
• Set priorities with measurable outcomes for improvement.
• Manage the plan of care and address patient needs with the team.
