RWJBarnabas Health’s Somerset, NJ location is seeking an RN for night shifts in the Post Intensive Care Unit-II. You will assess patients, manage medications, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes documentation in EPIC and patient-family education, with opportunities for clinical ladder growth.

You must hold an active NJ RN license, BLS, and ACLS; ADN is required and BSN is strongly preferred. At least one year of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required.
• At least 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• ADN required; BSN strongly preferred; patient care experience noted.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support teamwork and transitions of care.
• Engage in a collaborative team culture and pursue ongoing professional growth.
