Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Intensive Care Unit-I at RWJ University Hospital New Brunswick. The role is part-time, day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotations.
NJ RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred, ACLS preferred, and 1–2 years of acute care experience; EPIC EMR familiarity encouraged. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing required.
- BLS Certification required.
- ACLS Certification preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- EMR experience with EPIC encouraged.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and intervene based on clinical judgment.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and competently.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate timely, evidence-based care.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in rounds and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
