Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in the United States is seeking a Resident Assistant to support residents with personal care, companionship, and daily activity engagement, reporting to the Director of Nursing. This role promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing within a warm, respectful environment.

You'll work with the care team to monitor health, follow individualized care plans, and ensure a safe, clean living space while fostering relationships with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs including grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition.
• Answer signal lights, bells, or intercoms to determine needs.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Transport or assist residents with walking and transfers.
• Assist with dining, activities, and mobility.
• Support residents and families, reporting observations to the care team.
