Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration Technician to provide safe, reliable maintenance for fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, and lift gates. You will troubleshoot, perform PMs, and document repairs using fleet software, with travel for training.

The role requires 3 years of hands-on experience and TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications. Onsite work with a strong safety culture and opportunities for growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer equipment repairs.
• Experience administering PM programs.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Read/write at a basic level and have math skills.
• Read and understand service manuals; high school diploma required.
• Experience using fleet maintenance software preferred
• Welding ability preferred

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors, and plan action with partners.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety guidelines.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet maintenance software.
• Back up other maintenance staff as needed.
• Possess willingness to take on more responsibilities and certifications.
• Mentor other maintenance staff.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
