Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician to provide safe, reliable maintenance for our fleet. You will troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on diesel tractors, trailers and related equipment, while documenting work in our fleet software. The role includes night shifts, travel for training, and opportunities to mentor teammates.

Required 3 years’ hands-on experience, refrigeration certifications, and own tools. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

3 years of hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
Willing to travel and attend provided training.
Diagnose and troubleshoot reefer equipment repairs.
Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience administering PM programs.
Own personal hand tools.
Read/write legibly; basic math skills.
Read/understand technical service manuals.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred.
Welding ability preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls, coordinate with vendors and partners.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules.
Document repairs and parts used in the fleet software tablet.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
