Job summary

US Foods is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel refrigeration equipment across our nationwide fleet. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, and related components in a dedicated maintenance facility.

The role requires 3 years of hands-on experience, Carrier/TK certifications, ability to travel for trainings, and proficiency with fleet maintenance software.

Qualifications

3 years of verifiable hands-on fleet refrigeration experience.
TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
Willingness to travel for trainings provided by US Foods.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency for reefer repairs.
Experience administering PM programs.
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
Able to read/write for trainings and reporting; basic math.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred.
Welding ability preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors and plan actions.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules/regulations.
Document repairs and parts used with fleet maintenance software.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
