Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration Technician to perform diesel equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics. You will document work in the fleet maintenance software and coordinate with vendors while upholding DOT standards.

The role requires 3 years of hands-on experience, TK/Carrier refrigeration certifications, and the ability to travel for training. Onsite work environment with equipment-focused tasks, safety-first culture, and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Willing to travel for trainings and certifications.
• Able to read and understand service manuals; basic math and reporting skills.
• Own personal hand tools and ability to attend trainings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and business partners.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules and regulations.
• Document repairs and parts used in the fleet maintenance software.
• Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
• Mentor fellow maintenance staff and take on increased responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
