Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to service and repair diesel fleet equipment at our maintenance facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose diesel systems, and coordinate road calls with vendors to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 3 years of hands-on reefer/refrigeration experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to travel for training. On-site work with a strong safety culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• HVAC/reefer refrigeration experience required (3 years).
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications preferred.
• Must be willing to travel for training.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot reefer equipment repairs.
• Ability to administer preventive maintenance programs.
• Read and write legibly; basic math skills.
• Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred.
• Welding ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel fleet equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance per DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and plan action.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with safety rules.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet maintenance software.
• Back up other maintenance staff and mentor junior technicians.
